iKKO Reveals MindOne: A Wallet-Sized AI Smartphone Built to Stay Connected Everywhere

Created with MediaTek and SIMO, MindOne integrates global fallback connectivity across 140+ countries to keep AI available when networks fail

Las Vegas, January 7, 2026 β€” iKKO has announced MindOne, a new ultra-portable AI smartphone developed in partnership with MediaTek and SIMO, designed to redefine how artificial intelligence shows up in everyday life. Introduced at CES 2026, MindOne is engineered around a single belief: AI should not disappear when connectivity becomes unreliable.

MindOne is built on MediaTek’s MT8781 connectivity-optimized platform and enhanced with SIMO’s patented Virtual SIMβ„’ (vSIM) technology. This combination enables automatic global fallback mobile data connectivity across more than 140 countries, allowing AI services to remain active when Wi-Fi drops, roaming plans fail, or physical SIM networks become unstable.

As AI evolves from a tool you open into an intelligence that stays with you, iKKO argues that constant connectivity is no longer optionalβ€”it is foundational.

Designing for the Reality of Mobile Life

Modern AI assumes ideal conditions. Real life rarely provides them.

People move between countries, buildings, meetings, and networks. They experience dropped signals, overloaded Wi-Fi, and unreliable roamingβ€”often at the exact moment they need AI the most.

MindOne is designed for that reality.

By embedding a secondary connectivity layer directly into the device, MindOne reduces reliance on external networks and removes the friction of managing connections manually. The result is AI that remains accessible during travel, transitions, and moments of urgency.

This marks a shift from situational AI to continuous AI.

Always-On AI Is Not a Feature β€” It’s the Baseline

MindOne approaches AI as a persistent presence rather than a capability that appears and disappears. Its Always-On AI philosophy focuses on:

  • Consistency β€” AI access across changing networks and locations
  • Immediacy β€” instant capture, translation, and summarization
  • Mobility β€” reliable intelligence that travels with the user

When connectivity works silently in the background, AI can function as a true personal assistant rather than a conditional service.

vSIM: A Built-In Safety Net for Global Connectivity

Connectivity is the invisible layer that determines whether AI succeeds or fails. Without data access, even the smartest systems lose relevance.

MindOne integrates SIMO’s Virtual SIMβ„’ technology, which provides automatic fallback mobile data when primary Wi-Fi or carrier networks degrade. This approach delivers:

  • Configuration-free backup connectivity
  • Seamless cross-border usage without SIM swapping
  • Reduced dependency on public Wi-Fi or roaming packages
  • Greater resilience for AI-driven workflows in unpredictable environments

Users are not asked to manage networksβ€”MindOne handles connectivity behind the scenes.

MediaTek MT8781: Built for Always-Connected, Low-Power Devices

MindOne is powered by the MediaTek MT8781, a platform designed for efficient power usage, stable connectivity, and system-level optimizationβ€”ideal for compact, always-on smart devices.

Working closely with MediaTek, iKKO optimized MindOne’s hardware and software stack to intelligently manage connectivity across diverse global conditions while maintaining low energy consumption.

β€œMindOne exists so AI doesn’t vanish the moment networks become unreliable,” said Echo Chan, CEO of iKKO.
β€œWe want AI to feel as constant as timeβ€”present when you speak, ready when you think, and reliable wherever you go.”

Partner Perspectives

β€œVirtual SIMβ„’ allows device makers to embed global, multi-carrier fallback connectivity directly into their products,” said Jing Liu, CEO of SIMO.
β€œMindOne demonstrates how resilient connectivity enables AI to function beyond ideal network conditions.”

SIMO’s vSIM technology supports fallback connectivity across 140+ countries, subject to regional network availability.

β€œAs AI becomes embedded into everyday devices, connectivity becomes the foundation of intelligence,” Liu added.

β€œMediaTek platforms are engineered to support reliable connectivity, low power consumption, and AI-driven performance,” said CK Wang, VP and GM of MediaTek’s IoT Business Unit.
β€œMindOne shows how platform-level optimization and layered connectivity can deliver a dependable Always-On AI experience.”

Compact Form, Global Capability

True to iKKO’s design philosophy, MindOne delivers advanced AI functionality in a wallet-sized form factor:

  • Built-in global fallback mobile data connectivity (MediaTek + SIMO vSIM)
  • Dual-system environment: Android combined with iKKO AI OS
  • On-device AI tools for productivity, learning, travel, and focus
  • Low-power design supporting all-day use in an ultra-portable device

MindOne removes the mental overhead of staying connected, allowing users to focus on thinking, creating, and moving.

Availability

MindOne will be available worldwide starting February 8, 2026, with a suggested retail price ranging from US$329 to US$499.

The device will be showcased publicly at CES 2026.
