You know there was a time when games awarded their players based on their performances. The rewards consisted of cosmetics, banners, and stuff like that. So at that time if you liked something in the game you only needed to play the game and try your hardest to achieve it. But now the scenario is not the same since after the boom of micro transactions every little bit of cosmetic in most games is locked behind a paywall. So now if you wanna get some cosmetics in the game you gotta pay up with your hard-earned money.
It has been the common practice between gaming studios for the past decades to charge for things that were free before. But not all games are like that or they atleast provide some free stuff to their players to keep them motivated to play the game more. Like Call of Duty does with its camo mastery system. In which they award the players with gun cosmetics upon completing some specific missions. Another instance of giving away free stuff to their players is Marvel rivals they award their players with cosmetics on playing with a hero consistently. Net ease has named this thing a hero profciency system and in this blog, we are going to talk about that in depth.
What is hero proficiency in Marvel Rivals:
The hero proficiency system or the hero mastery system works pretty similarly to the camo mastery challenges in Call of Duty. Players are assigned to complete a few tasks within given parameters and they get rewards. The hero proficiency system also works in the same way. So whatever hero you play with the most has some missions assigned to them if you complete those missions you get a kill banner, avatar’s ability colors, and stuff like that. So the more you play with a hero and the better your stats with that hero is the more rewards you are going to get. You can check the individual tasks for your hero just by going into the main menu and selecting the heroes tab now select your hero and on the right side of it youβll see a tab stating proficiency click on it and everything will be there.
How to improve it?
Since it gives you cosmetic rewards it is natural to want to get improve at it. So I will some of my tips that will help you to increase your favorite heroβs proficiency.
Tip 1:
The first thing you need to get right is to play a game mode with instant respawn and shorter match duration. You could play deathmatches like Doom Match which is a free-for-all death match or you could also play Conquest since it has the fastest respawn times. Playing these two modes consistently will allow you to get more kills and due to their shorter time duration youβll get missions done faster.
Tip 2.
Stick to one hero. I know it might sound obvious but due to too many choices of heroes players do jump around from one hero to another. So if you wanna get those rewards you have to stick to one hero for longer than a week or when complete the given rewards. Also, almost all of the missions are repeatable so you just have to get a good aim and game and youβll easily get the to lord proficiency.
But if thatβs too much work for you then you can also buy proficiency boosting which is dirt cheap and it is also legal to use making much more sense to do then grinding the game senselessly for hours.
Tip 3:
Marvel’s rival has an estranged system that sometimes does not reward instantly after getting a mission done or it does not show the progress of that challenge right away. To make sure that does not happen to you. You should always log out after playing the game and log in when you wanna play. Doing this will force a verification process which will also refresh your inventory.
Since the missions are repeatable and you can complete them many times It can also mean that youβve already completed the missions and the game has reset the mission to the start. So whichever is your case checking your inventory and singing in and out will help you out in both.
